Chicago’s socialist mayor Brandon Johnson made an attempt to raise taxes (like socialists do) in the city and when the voters rejected it, the far left mayor cried that Donald Trump was to blame…somehow.
The city claimed that they needed to raise taxes in order to have more cash on hand to address the growing homeless problem – which is worth noting has become a major issue thanks to the city’s obsession with illegal immigrants.
The plan aimed to hike the amount of taxes paid on larger real estate purchases in a true “eat the rich” style scheme, but when it came time for voters to decide on it they overwhelmingly rejected it thanks to a difference of 22,000 voters.
Johnson, reacting to the vote, raged that it was “all Trump’s fault!”
During a post-election press conference, Johnson cited the “38,000” Chicago residents who had voted for former President Trump, saying there’s a “good chance” they were behind the referendum’s failure.
Hilariously, Johnson is trying to use his own failures in the city to claim that Trump is the REAL problem!
According to Johnson, Chicago can’t fix the illegal immigrant fueled homelessness crisis because of “Trump” and his voters… right…
Watch the video here to see how desperate this leftist mayor has got to be to blame something which he is CLEARLY responsible for on the Republicans.
