Democrats Target Paper Bags

It’s hard to gauge environmentalists. Are they evil masterminds or blundering idiots? Seriously! They have tons of proposals on how to fight environmental problems, but none of the proposals ever have a chance to actually make an impact. A recent study showed that even if we did everything in the Green New Deal, it would reduce global warming by less than 0.1 percent.

Here’s another thing to think about. Nuclear energy has been able to provide 100-percent clean energy to every developed nation for the better part of a century. Yet, we hardly use it at all. Why is the safest and cleanest energy in the world mothballed? The environmentalists killed it. You will never find someone more resolutely against nuclear energy than an environmentalist.

You can look at the proposal to ban plastic straws. It’s the same old story. They worry that plastic straws pump too much plastic into the ocean, but straws account for less than 0.03 percent of ocean plastic. It’s actually even lower than that since the U.S. is a minor contributor to ocean plastic. You know it’s crazy when places like Phoenix and El Paso are discussing the resolution. There’s no way any of their garbage is making it to oceans.

This insanity never stops. New Jersey is making new proposals that are equally stupid. Or, are they ingenious? The trend of these proposals has never been to reduce pollution or environmental problems. It’s always to give the government more control over people. Watch this video and then decide which seems more likely. Are environmentalists stupid or brilliant?
