Democrat Senator Finally Admits Obamacare Is Failing

Here’s something you don’t hear every day — a Democrat finally admitted Obamacare is a failure. Yes, really. On the Senate floor, no less.

Senator Peter Welch of Vermont, a Democrat, got up in front of the entire country and said out loud what every working American already knows: “We did fail to bring down the cost of health care.” That’s right — the big promise of Obamacare, the whole “Affordable Care Act” scam, just got exposed by one of its own defenders. And he said it while trying to justify the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

This whole mess started because Democrats are throwing another tantrum, refusing to reopen the government unless Republicans agree to extend Obamacare subsidies. Subsidies for a program Welch literally just admitted doesn’t work! You can’t make this stuff up.

While Welch begged for more time to prop up their broken system, Senate Republicans have actually been trying to fix things. They’ve put forward over a dozen clean continuing resolutions — bills that would fund the government at the same spending levels Democrats voted for during the Biden years. Simple, no strings attached. Just reopen the government and get back to work.

But nope. Democrats are holding out for their $1.5 trillion spending spree — a bill that would undo every single win from President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. That’s the real goal here. They don’t care about health care. They care about getting money for their woke causes, including giving healthcare to illegal aliens.

So far, only three Senate Democrats have had the spine to break ranks and vote to reopen the government. Republicans need five more to get the job done — but don’t hold your breath. Meanwhile, President Trump is urging Senate leadership to finally use the nuclear option and kill the filibuster. But Majority Leader John Thune is still clinging to tradition like it’s 1995.
