Well, well, well — look who finally admitted Trump was right.
In a twist that has D.C. liberals clutching their soy lattes and council members melting down like cheap candles in August, Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser has just extended President Trump’s federal safety measures — indefinitely.
Yes, you read that right. The same Mayor Bowser who once painted “Black Lives Matter” in giant yellow letters across a D.C. street in protest of Trump’s 2020 policies is now practically begging federal law enforcement to stay put. Because guess what? The crime-fighting plan is working.
After Trump federalized the D.C. police force earlier this summer — a move that had left-wing media outlets foaming at the mouth — the city saw a sharp decline in violent crime. Streets that were once ruled by gangs and lawlessness are finally being reclaimed. Even Bowser had to admit the obvious: Trump’s crackdown was cleaning up the mess she and her progressive pals let fester for years.
But don’t expect the D.C. City Council to take that news gracefully. According to reports, council members are furious over Bowser’s executive order, which orders full coordination between local police and federal law enforcement “to the maximum extent allowable by law.” Translation: Trump’s plan stays, whether the crybaby council likes it or not.
And they really, really don’t.
Some council members are screeching over what they call a “federal takeover” of the city’s police. But what they won’t say is that D.C. had one of the worst crime surges in the country before Trump stepped in. Murders, carjackings, robberies — all skyrocketing under the soft-on-crime policies these same council members pushed for years. But now that things are finally turning around, they’re mad the credit is going to Trump. Boo hoo.
Let’s not forget — this is the same bunch that wanted to defund the police, remove armed security from schools, and let repeat offenders walk free. Now they’re watching as their own mayor teams up with the very president they loathe to fix what they broke.
And the results speak for themselves. Federal and local law enforcement are now conducting joint patrols, increasing surveillance, and making real arrests. The streets of D.C. are safer than they’ve been in years, and Bowser knows it. That’s why she signed the order without an expiration date. She’s locking in Trump’s plan for as long as it takes.
Of course, some Democrats tried to spin it. Bowser said she still has “concerns” about certain tactics — like masked ICE agents doing immigration raids. But if that’s what it takes to get criminals off the streets, most Americans will gladly take it. Because at the end of the day, safety beats sensitivity.

It’s a full-blown liberal panic attack.
But here’s the kicker: Bowser just proved that even the most stubborn Democrat can’t argue with results. When the choice is between ideological purity and public safety, even she knew which way to go.
So while the council throws its tantrum, President Trump’s common-sense law-and-order plan marches on. The capital is safer, the criminals are sweating, and the American people are watching.
Next stop? Chicago. Maybe Mayor Johnson will learn something too — or he’ll just keep blaming ghosts and “systemic issues” while his city burns.
Either way, Trump isn’t waiting. And neither are the American people.
