If you really want to understand the difference between the American left and right, look at how they respond to extremists who co-opt their platforms. The right in no way denies the existence of neo Nazis or the KKK. They openly condemn both groups. They might argue that neither represent the real American right, and rightly so, but they don’t pretend like these degenerate psychopaths don’t exist.
Now, consider extremists on the left. Mainstream outlets and the bulk of spokespersons for the progressives deny the existence of Antifa. Despite hours of footage showing thousands of self-described anti-fascists extremists (you know, indisputable proof), the left pretends like it’s a group that doesn’t exist. They call Antifa the “boogeyman” of the right. Then they outright deny that the violence and destruction wrought by these degenerate psychopaths ever took place.
That’s the main difference. The right acknowledges the existence of these extremists in order to condemn them. The left can’t do the same because, at the heart of it all, Antifa represents their core values.
The ultimate threat of Antifa is bigger than the riots they cause and the people they hurt, and that is no small statement. What is truly scary about this group is how they are organized. They aren’t just fringe crazy people banding together. They are selectively organized by a sinister puppet master.
