Dem. Adam Schiff: Obama’s Weak Response to Sony Hack Emboldened Russia’s Cyber Attack

At a time when most Democrats have been trying relentlessly (and unsuccessfully) to blame Donald Trump for the Russian interference that took place in the 2016 election, one Democratic representative is bucking the trend.

According to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), blame for the Russian interference rests solely on the shoulders of President Obama. This certainly isn’t all that radical of an idea given that Obama was in charge at the time it took place. Nevertheless, hearing it from a Democratic politician is certainly out of the ordinary.

The fact of the matter is that, throughout his two terms, Obama was so soft on foreign policy that it was embarrassing. There were no consequences for foreign actors who maneuvered against the United States under the Obama administration, leaving Russia with little to fear when they decided to meddle in our election.

Of course, to the majority of the left, this is somehow Trump’s fault, in spite of the fact that he wielded no political power at the time the Russian interference took place. At least, however, Rep. Schiff is able to see through the propaganda and understand who is really to blame.
