President Trump thanked One America News today for its reporting on the Dayton, OH shooter’s leftist political leanings. He tweeted, “Meanwhile, the Dayton, Ohio, shooter had a history of supporting political figures like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and ANTIFA. @OANN I hope other news outlets will report this as opposed to Fake News. Thank you!”
OAN’s report is welcomed, considering the mainstream media’s reporting of the El Paso killing and Democrats rush to blame Trump for violence aimed at illegal immigrants.
According to those who knew him, Betts expressed support for ANTIFA. Coupled with that, he was vocal in his hatred of ICE and American border patrol. Over the months just previous to the killings, he boldly proclaimed his hopes for a climactic confrontation.
Betts’ hatred for the President is well documented. In his response to an essay by Mehdi Hassan of Intercept entitled, “Yes, Let’s Defeat or Impeach Trump—but What If He Doesn’t Leave the White House?” he wrote, “Arm, train, prepare.”
The New York Post reports the shooter tweeted in June, “I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come around understanding.”
Unfortunately, Betts is not the first and probably won’t be the last Antifa militant to harm supporters of Trump.
