Congressman Dan Crenshaw Makes Lying ‘Journalist’ INSTANTLY Regret Calling Him Out

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw didn’t surrender when a New York Times contributing opinion writer questioned his patriotism by claiming he didn’t support the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.

His Twitter war began when New York State representative Wajahat Ali tweeted:

Anytime a Republican says they are ‘patriots’ ask them if they voted to fund the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. You know who’s for it? Ilhan Omar. You know who hasn’t sponsored it? Dan Crenshaw.

Navy SEAL veteran Crenshaw called Ali’s hand be responding:

Hey ‘journalist,’ maybe you should check your facts. I am a co-sponsor. Nice try though.

Ali deleted his lie-filled tweet later but then doubled down by claiming Crenshaw misrepresented Rep. Ilhan Omars’ comments about 9/11. The decorated veteran wasted no time in posting the exact words of Omar when he tweeted:

First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something.”

Congressman Crenshaw wears an eye patch because he was injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in 2012. He lost his right eye but surgery saved the vision in his left eye.
