Colin Kaepernick Makes a Buck Off “Wokeness” with Disney

Political commentator Buck Sexton recently wrote that Colin Kaepernick’s self-branding would almost be “praiseworthy,” except for the way he has accomplished it.

Sexton points to Colin Kaepernick’s recent announcement he had signed a “partnership deal” with Disney. The deal involves a new ESPN series hosted by the former NFL quarterback that focuses on telling scripted and unscripted stories that explore race, social injustice, and the quest for equality.”

According to Sexton, “Kaepernick is a hero for taking no risk, for elevating himself and for saying things that tear down the rest of the country. Now, we’re at a point where if you take a knee, you’re a good person”

During this election year, mid-tier celebrities are rewarded with multi-million dollar contracts for their refusal to show respect for their own country.

Before Disney signed Kaepernick he had tweeted:

Black ppl …. terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of “independence” … We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all.

But Ben Shapiro notes that “Colin Kaepernick does not seem … victimized by the United States.” Instead, “as soon after you can make a buck off wokeness, you’ll make a buck off wokeness.”

Watch the video as Shapiro uses Colin Kaepernick as example of why a growing number of people see the quickest way to make millions of dollars is by calling America an “evil” nation.
