Brown opens the segment like it’s an action movie: “Just before the sun rises in the Windy City, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents fan out across Chicago to arrest criminals in the U.S. illegally.”
Sounds… familiar, right? Except back then, ICE was the good guy. No hysterical screaming from anchors. No “Nazi” comparisons. No Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crying in front of a fence.
The footage shows ICE agents gearing up at 3 a.m., planning raids in “sketchy” neighborhoods, and even mistakenly arresting the wrong man — which CNN reports with calm narration, not outrage.

Let’s be clear: this was under the Obama White House. The same Democrats who now call ICE agents “racist thugs” were just fine watching them on TV arresting illegal felons under their guy. CNN even included ICE’s warning that sanctuary city laws in Cook County were putting the public in danger by letting criminals walk free.
Fast forward to the Trump years — suddenly ICE is the villain. The only thing that changed? The party in the White House.
