Despite their best efforts to use the same old “orange man bad” playbook to win over voters, the Democrats and their propagandists in the media are failing – BIG TIME – and even they’re being forced to admit it now.
CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten reluctantly reported that President Donald Trump’s tariffs have only made him and the MAGA movement MORE popular among working class voters, which is bad news for the Democrats.
One poll which Enten seemed to be particularly disturbed by was one which showed that for the first time in over 30 years, Republicans and Democrats are tied (both at 33%) in terms of who Americans think “cares more for the needs of the people.”
This is a huge deal because historically, the Democratic party, with their slew of entitlement programs that effectively act as bribes, have held DOUBLE DIGIT leads on this metric.
“This to me is the most shocking pieces of poll data that I truthfully have seen this year, maybe in any prior year,” Enten said.
Enten then goes back and points to the fact that just before the 2018 midterms, the Democrats held a 13% lead, and they regained control of the Congress. Before that, in 2005 Democrats held a 23% lead and in 1994 they held a 19% lead.
The point is the narrative has shifted MASSIVELY and the American people now realize that the Democratic party is not the party of the people that many had been led to believe it was. THEY are the elitist party.
Eten goes on to suggest that because of this, the Democrats might not be able to regain control of the House in the 2026 midterms as they might have hoped – which would mean four years of a solid Republican majority for President Trump.
“If Democrats think they automatically have a ticket back to control of the House, I’d say hold on a second, Republicans still have a shot at this…” Enten said.

A shocker for me given the tariff war: The GOP seems to be in their best position ever for the party who cares more for the needs of people like yourself.
A tie on a metric that Dems have historically led by double digits.
The reason? Huge GOP gains among the working class. pic.twitter.com/BItuHBd2rM
