When someone farts in public, it’s always embarrassing. You usually feel bad for the other person. It’s just so hard to feel bad for California Rep and failed 2020 presidential nominee Eric Swalwell.
We are now in the midst of Fartgate. Rep. Swalwell farted on live television during an interview with Chris Matthews of MSNBC. It was clearly embarrassing, but like he did in his campaign he chose to completely lie about the whole thing — even though it happened on camera.
On the surface, this is hilarious. The real clip could have been straight out of a parody, but instead, it’s real life. If you need a break from serious politics, you could spend hours going down the internet-video rabbit hole. You can see Swalwell fart in so many funny videos that you’ll forget your own name.
On the more serious side, this is insane. Literally every human being farts. It’s a necessary bodily function. To pretend like you don’t (or that you shouldn’t) is some Kim Jong-Un stuff. Doesn’t he tell his people that he never farts? Why would a Democrat need to steal from that play book? A man who can’t own his own farts is hardly a man at all. We all know that.
When you’re done taking a break from serious politics, this video has some important points. The fart may be the ice breaker but this video is really about why its hard to feel bad for Rep Swalwell. He deserves everything he gets. Watch the video to see why.
