California Driver Orders a Lead Sandwich at the In-N-Out Burger

After California Governor Gavin Newsom raised the minimum wage at fast food joints to more than $20 an hour last year, dozens of restaurants were forced to permanently close their doors. Pizza Hut, for example, had to fire all its drivers and start using DoorDash and Uber Eats for all its deliveries. Thousands of fast-food workers lost their jobs.

It’s been catastrophic because fast food prices have gone through the roof. College students can’t afford to get a cheeseburger in most places. There are news stories about college kids going hungry because they can no longer afford to eat in California. Nice going, Gavin!

One of the rare success stories in California, however, has been In-N-Out Burger. The chain still sells affordable burgers—sourced from local growers—and they pay their workers more than Newsom’s minimum wage. They make a profit on volume because families can still afford to eat there.

One of the fun things about In-N-Out is that they have a “secret” menu that you won’t find in the restaurants. You have to know about it ahead of time or ask the cashier.

We’re not sure what the hell happened at the In-N-Out in Manteca, CA, this week. A person in the drive-thru decided to use his minivan to start smashing up people’s cars. The cops showed up and had to deliver the deranged motorist something else that wasn’t on the menu.
