As if you needed another reason to be cautious of Democrat led governments, Gavin Newsom and the state of California just proved they are willing to betray their citizens.
Back in May of 2021, Newsom announced an initiative designed to get more people in his state to take the COVID vaccine.
This was done via a sweepstakes called “Vax for the Win” which automatically entered vaccine recipients into a drawing offering more than $116 million in prizes.
As it turns out, they used this bribery campaign as an excuse to keep a registry of all vaccine recipients – and though they claimed this list was “confidential,” they have actually been sharing it with a political consulting firm – violating HIPPA law in the process.
The firm, Street Level Campaigns, then cross-checks this registry and, acting on behalf of the state, pressures people to go out and get their booster shots.
When asked about this, California’s Department of Public Health doesn’t even try to hide it, knowing the state being run by Democrats enables them to practically do whatever they want.
The department openly stated in an email that they share the vaccine data with Street Level Campaigns in order to have them reach out to “booster eligible residents.”
The government has no right to know your vaccination status, and given the opportunity any of the power hungry politicians on the left would do the same exact thing as Newsom has done in California.
