Bonkers Video Shows Suspect Trying to Kill a Cop with a Tractor

A man in Key West, Florida snapped earlier this month and stole a John Deere groundskeeping tractor from a golf course. He then attempted to go on a killing spree at a local college before a cop caught up to him.

The next part of the altercation was caught on the officer’s body cam footage, which was released this week. The suspect tries to decapitate the police officer by ramming the bucket on the tractor into his police cruiser.

Fortunately, the suspect didn’t get the angle of attack correct. The bucket stops a couple of feet short of chopping the officer in half. The cop kept his head on – literally and figuratively – by jumping out of the vehicle and firing several shots at the suspect.

The officer was then able to arrest the suspect, who was uninjured. It turns out that he was a groundskeeper at the golf course where he allegedly stole the tractor. The man admitted to police that he had intended to kill two specific people at a college dorm with the tractor. It wasn’t a very good plan.

It does go to show, however, just how crazy and dangerous it is to be a police officer these days. Watch the footage from this insane incident that happened on May 4th:
