According to progressives, it is impossible to be black and racist. Somehow the two are completely incompatible. The same group will tell you that every cop is racist. It’s impossible to be a police officer and not adhere to systemic prejudice against black people. So, what happens when they come across a black police officer? Their system shatters and they end up screaming incoherently.
Things really break down when a black cop is blamed for the death of a citizen. But, here’s the very interesting thing about the whole situation. The FBI tracks these statistics closely, and black police officers are three times more likely to fire their weapons at a civilian than any other demographic. Is this because they are power-crazed, racist maniacs? Of course not. It’s because black cops are three times as likely to regularly work in the roughest neighborhoods in the country.
The left hates when you bring up black on black crime statistics, but this is why it matters. Cops get caught up in gang wars. They die on a regular basis. It is completely impossible for someone who faces that every day to not be affected by it. Until these communities can stop mass murdering each other, they’re going to be at higher risk of facing police violence that is aimed to stop those killings.
