With two-dozen Democrats in the presidential race already, there are a lot of questions up in the air. Who is the best candidate? Who is the most electable candidate? Who should Republicans and President Trump fear the most? Political experts seem to have already made up their minds, and yet, none of them agree.
One of the big names in the race is Bernie Sanders. In 2016, the Bernie supporters claims that he was the only shot Democrats had to beat Mr. Trump. They feel galvanized by the fact that Hillary lost, and they’ll probably repeat that claim for the 2020 primaries.
You also have the other lead candidates: Buttigieg, Warren and Harris. Each has their strengths and weaknesses with the Democratic base, but none of them are showing any clear signs that they really should be the front runner.
Warren is promoting herself as the idea woman, but it’s hard for a party built on identity politics to forgive her for exploiting those same identity politics.
This brings us to Joe Biden. He’s been in the lead since he announced his candidacy, but it seems that he’s on a slow descent from the top. Is he really the one the right needs to fear next year?
