Bill O’Reilly Eyes Return to Television with New Show

In today’s “Talking Points” memo… okay, just kidding, we couldn’t resist. But seriously, Bill O’Reilly is in talks with a conservative news outlet to return to television with a new program. The former Fox News host used to be the number one-rated show in the 8 p.m. Eastern time slot. O’Reilly has been off the air for just over a year, but that could change soon.

What’s interesting about it is that the outlet that wants to sign a contract with O’Reilly is not Fox News. Plus, the outlet is in talks with several other conservative figures in hopes of putting together a primetime lineup that would be able to compete directly with Fox News. That could be a good move, considering that CNN is now a dumpster fire that has seen its ratings collapse by 30 percent over its recent anti-Trump bigotry.

Here’s how the potential lineup on this conservative network could look: A 6 p.m. newscast, Greta Van Susteren for an hour at 7 p.m., Bill O’Reilly would return to his 8 p.m. time slot, followed by former Fox News host Eric Bolling at 9 p.m. and then, an hour-long panel discussion hosted by former White House spokesman Shawn Spicer. Talk about heavy hitters!

O’Reilly is apparently in advanced talks with this news outlet, but nothing has been finalized yet. Watch the video below to learn the name of the news outlet that is allegedly planning to go head-to-head with Fox News to compete for conservative viewers.
