Bill O’Reilly asks Legitimate Question about Bias in Media, Reporter Stumped

Want to play a game of ‘Gotcha’ with a progressive? Ask them the same question Bill O’Reilly asked Democratic strategist Mary Anne Marsh in this brief segment from Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor. The question is: where are the conservative voices in today’s mainstream media?

While it’s true that most members of the public have always believed the media has had a little liberal bias to it, lately, the cases of the bias being ‘a little’ have been outnumbered by those examples of where it’s so overwhelming that makes it hard to know where the Democratic Party (or the Socialist one) stops and the media begins.

Once upon a time, networks like the federal government’s own PBS had shows like Firing Line where a conservative host such as William F. Buckley Jr. might have a civilized debate with a liberal guest like Harvard economist John Kenneth Galbraith in a perfectly amicable manner, and both people had an equal chance to be listened to and understood.

Today, most networks and shows don’t even make a pretense of having any kind of a conservative voice, which robs them of any legitimacy they might try to claim as far as presenting a balanced picture of current events.

If you want to see a good ‘Gotcha’ moment, watch this clip to see Bill O’Reilly stump Mary Anne Marsh when he asks her to name prominent conservatives in today’s television networks.
