President Joe Biden is showing no mercy for record gas prices nationwide, instead telling Americans it’s the cost of Putin’s war on Ukraine.
That might sound good, but the problem is that it’s not true. Both inflation and gas prices were skyrocketing well before February when Putin invaded Ukraine.
In fact, even mainstream media is increasingly forced to admit that surging prices occurred shortly after Biden entered office. It can’t be blamed on Putin or even Trump any longer. It’s Biden’s problem, plain and simple.
The video report shows that in January 2021 inflation was a 1.4%. By December, it had risen to 7%, a five-fold increase in less than 12 months.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, inflation has gone up another 1.6%. We’re now at 8.6% with no plan in place to stop it.
Worse, those are the official inflation numbers. In many sectors, inflation is far higher. From food prices to used cars, homes and more, there is little that has not been impacted.
