Beto’s Big Announcement was Just a Publicity Stunt

Mark Dice recently recapped former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s ‘big announcement” concerning his run for president and showed why it was obviously nothing more than a publicity stunt—and a bad one at that.

O’Rourke had faded from media darling to barely a blip on the presidential hopeful’s radar until the El Paso shooting happened. The failed Senator then used the event to remind viewers he was still alive and wants to be president.

With South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg stealing his youthful, semi-centrist appeal, it appears O’Rourke has adopted a new tactic. After the El Paso shooting, he led the liberal charge in blaming President Trump.

When asked by some in the media whether Trump could do anything to “make this better,” he responded angrily in a flood of profanities asking, “What do you think? You know the s— he’s been saying … I don’t know, like, members of the press, what the f—?”

NPR host Mary Louise Kelly noted last week that if the Democrat planned on staying in the race, he would have to retool his approach.

Watch the video to see how Beto O’Rourke is retooling his campaign. As a bonus you’ll also find out how the Houston Chronicle, the paper that initially endorsed him in his failed senatorial race against Ted Cruz, feels about him now.
