Evidently Former President Barack Obama seems to think that all young men should have gay friends from an early age – just like he did.
During an appearance on his wife’s podcast, the former Democrat leader said that one of the “most valuable things” in his life has been gay friendship.
“One of the most valuable things I learned as a guy was: I had a gay professor in college – at a time when openly gay folks still weren’t out a lot – who became one of my favorite professors and was a great guy and would call me out when I started saying stuff that was ignorant,” Obama said while speaking to the former First Lady.
Then he went on to say that it was critical to have someone like this in your friend group so that if you have a son who is “gay or non-binary or what have you, they have somebody” to guide them through it.
Notably, the former First Lady recently admitted that she was glad she didn’t have a son because he would have turned out just like Barack…
