Following the failed example of Major League Baseball, the NFL recently tried to jump on the woke bandwagon and proclaim that “Football is Gay.” Not only is football not necessarily gay, but the league has also already suffered financial setbacks after players took a knee during the National Anthem.
On this video, conservative firebrand Ben Shapiro sacks the National Football League over their new ad claiming football is for queers, homosexuals, transgenders, and gays.
It seems counterintuitive that a sport best known for physical brutality would try to affirm to everyone that they are a sensitive bunch who feels the plight of the LGBTQ community or align itself with a group widely associated with liberal social issues. But after Las Vegas Raiders’ defense end Carl Nassib came out as gay on social media, the league rushed to support his message.
What makes the NFL’s response look like a sham is the fact the NFL has not been a known supporter of gay rights organizations until now. Whether the league was merely trying to avoid another cancel culture attack or feels to pressure to not offend liberals remains to be seen. But what is abundantly clear is that sports organizations such as the NFL are being forced into an untenable situation.
If they think they can sit back, throw up silly advertisements, hand left-wing non-profits a few bobbles, and walk away, they are sorely mistaken. Picking sides in the ongoing culture war being waged in American communities every day will have consequences. If professional sports leagues believe they are immune, they would be wise to listen to Ben Shapiro. He explains precisely why football isn’t gay and why this ad was a huge mistake.

Just stop watching them. I played Football, Basketball, Track and Field in high school, loved football and basketball, all of them. I was a big Chicago Bears fan, I have not watched any of them sense all this WOKE BULLSHIT got to sports. I quit watching the NFL because of Kaeperdink. That’s no big deal to the NFL just little ol me isn’t spending anymore time or money watching them. But since I quit watching them I have a lot more time and money. With that my home and yard look a lot better – prooerty value gone up – and I got a new boat. So I am really much better off without them – and my family is too.
This is exactly what CRT teaches us. Black gays dominate the NBA and NFL, that is why Whites leave these sports alone. Black gays are taking over the Track and Field events as well.
I stopped following the NFL after Kaepernick ruined it, the NBA a long time ago and MLB when they sided with the BLM goons on stealing elections for the commiecrats. And I don’t plan on going back to watching them or spending any money on them. The fact that the NFL is becoming a haven for a bunch of queers just makes my resolve not to watch them that much more.

I quit watching all pro sports 4 yrs ago. (Except golf) If this is all they have to offer, I’ll just have to be content watching old game films from the ’50’s, ’60’s, & ’70’s! These morons just shit in their own mess kits!

If these sports teams want to advertise their political positions when televising their games, I will advertise mine by not watching the games. Preach to the choir and see what that gets you.
