Arnold Schwarzenegger has been extremely annoying in recent years. He’s constantly blathering about global warming. During COVID, he famously told Americans, “Screw your freedom” when they didn’t want to inject experimental government juice in their arms. People forget, however, that Schwarzenegger was an extremely popular Republican governor in California for eight years.
The problem with Arnold is that his politics have always been kind of difficult to pin down. Despite being a bit of a populist himself, Schwarzenegger called Donald Trump “the worst president ever” after the FBI and the Department of Defense staged the fake insurrection on January 6. Plus, he endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024.
So, the braying harpies on ‘The View’ were expecting Arnold to espouse lots of their favorite liberal talking points this week so they could swoon at his “wisdom.” They asked him how he feels as an immigrant to see President Trump deporting so many “immigrants” from his home state.
They probably regretted the question after Arnold answered it. The big difference is that Arnold was a legal immigrant when he came to the US in the 1970s. He didn’t commit crimes to set foot on American soil (and he definitely hasn’t been living on taxpayer-funded welfare).
