At this week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) pushed back on claims that voter ID laws were racially discriminatory.
Despite Democrats calling new voter integrity laws Jim Crow 2.0 and racist, the facts in the bills reveal no bias of one group over another. The goal has been and is to better verify that the person voting is clearly identified and votes legally.
Why do Democrats want to blast such changes? It seems clear that Democrats like the current rules and know how to work them to their advantage. Adding any measure that could change up the process is seen as an advantage to Republicans, something that triggers the left and results in Democrats playing the race card yet again.
In brilliant fashion, Lee challenges the issue by showing all of the other times Americans must use photo ID. To board a plane, purchase medicine, buy alcohol, our entire society is built upon people using photo ID to prove their identity.
Democrats don’t like when Republicans change rules, but voters need to know their votes count in order for future elections to remain successful for all.

State issued photo IDs are not discriminatory, they are merely pieces of identification that prove you are who you say you are. As Senator Lee has mentioned, Photo IDs are required for those who drive, who wish to get on airliners, open a bank account, apply for loans or financing, get a job, apply for government benefits, cash checks, pick up prescription drugs, attend political conventions, sit on juries, purchase alcohol, purchase fire arms, or rent a vehicle. Such IDs are issued to all who apply and meet standard age requirements, regardless of race, creed, color, gender, or ethnic background.
Democrats know this as well as Republicans, Libertarians and Independents, but Democrats will do anything to avoid showing an acceptable form of photo ID when voting. They will not purge their voter registration rolls of those who are deceased, or who have moved out of state. They will invite illegal immigration, promise illegal immigrants amnesty, citizenship and the right to vote and ALL the social and welfare benefits American citizens are entitled to even though they never paid a penny in taxes to support those benefits. They will sell out American taxpayers to support those who cannot support themselves just to buy their votes and create a base of Democrat voters that are completely dependent on the Democrat party for their existence.
Any attempt to restrict such illegal immigration will be met with howls of “RACISM” and “WHITE SUPREMACY” by the Democrats. Democrats are great at promising free stuff to those who don’t pay taxes, AT TAXPAYER’S EXPENSE.
Correct. It’s not about ID, it’s about their power grab…..and McConnell its on his thumbs of not aiding and abetting them.
Covid was a gift to democrat politicians. They demanded mail in votes, drop boxes on every corner, and no ID to absentee vote. The results are now being exposed. Drop boxes were shown with single people stuffing boxes with multiples of ballots, sometimes the same person stuffing multiple votes, multiple times . Boxes and suitcases being brought out after the counting had finished for the day and observers had been told to leave. It seems they forgot about cameras being left on. Multiple ballots being scanned into machines multiple times were recorded. It is only democrats and rinos who are fighting audits, I wonder why? For those who don’t recognize sarcasm that last question is a prime example.
