AOC Accuses President Trump of Paying Black Americans to Attend His Rallies

Fox News contributor Deneen Borelli, radio talk show host Rashad Richey and spokesperson Emma Meshell discussed President Trump’s State of the Union address highlighting accomplishments in minority communities.

This came after Fox Business host Charles Payne said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had made “damning claims” that the President’s campaign had been paying black Americans to attend his rallies.

AOC based her claims on a Politico article that misidentified the event in question as a Trump campaign rally when as Payne reported that AOC was referring to an event in Cleveland that was “an event to help promote opportunity zones.”

Even though AOC had to admit the Urban Revitalization Coalition hosted the event she accused the organization led by CEO Darrell Scott of lacking transparency in its support for Trump.

AOC tweeted, “They may not be legally registered as ‘campaign events’ or rallies, but it should be clear to all what is going on.”

The back and forth between AOC and Payne began when he pushed back against the Politico article and AOC, tweeting, “Whoa! @AOC making damning claims that the Trump campaign is paying Black Americans at his campaign rally. Trump must have struck a nerve during SOTU last night.”

Watch the video as Rickey was met by a litany of facts when he denied President Trump has overseen a great improvement in the economy of the black community.
