President Trump does some brilliant stuff. His ability to manipulate the media is uncanny, and this past week has been a true master class. While he got Democrats to intensify their internal feuds, he also took the heat off of his new immigration reform, and he bought some time for Mitch McConnell to push forward the Republican agenda in the Senate. It was beautiful.
Still, even with President Trump’s amazing talent, media manipulation only goes so far. You can distract them from things and focus their coverage on a mean tweet, but it’s next to impossible to shine their light on a story they don’t like. So, even while the President is doing his job exceptionally well, the rest of us have to be careful that we don’t miss important events.
One of those happened recently, and the mainstream media has completely ignored it. A domestic terrorist attacked an ICE facility. That’s a huge deal, and no one on the left is talking about it. At all. Why are they so determined to hide this story? The terrorist was a prominent member of his local chapter of Antifa.
The escalation has reached the point every sensible person predicted years ago. Calling ICE centers concentration camps and turning a blind eye to Antifa made this scenario possible. It even played out the way we all expected (hint: the Antifa terrorist was not the one who was proficient with firearms). It’s hard to know how to feel, but getting the facts always helps.
