Another #NeverTrump John Kasich Softens on Donald Trump

#NeverTrump is fading. The movement, originally comprised of hardline and elitist Republicans who took offense to Donald Trump’s populist messaging, has long since started to crack, peel and fade as politicians, pundits and the public warm to Trump and Trump’s strong support from the nation’s voters.

For some former doubters such as South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Trump’s more distinguished speaking style of late has enlightened them. For others, Trump’s unexpectedly large crowds of supporters have given meaning to the phrase “might makes right.”

Even former Trump rivals such as Rand Paul and Rick Perry have gotten on the bandwagon and said they will be voting for Trump in the Fall.

Although Ohio Governor John Kasich was one of the last men standing against Trump in the GOP primaries, it seems obvious from this clip that he’s softening his #NeverTrump position also. Come November, Kasich will likely be a Trump supporter because of the candidate’s stances on labor reform, immigration and new justices for the Supreme Court, among numerous other issues.

Ohio’s economy has been hit hard by inflexible labor unions, making the choice to offshore manufacturing easy for companies that have had big plants in the state.

Illegal immigrants also have been threats to workers’ jobs in Ohio, and certainly, the last thing any Republican wants is for Hillary Clinton to appoint four new justices to the Supreme Court. Look for Kasich to become a true Trump believer before the leaves fall from the trees in his home state shortly.
