In a recent interview with Fox and Friends, an official of Boeing announced that his company is passing along much of the benefits it will gain from the new tax bill to its employees and charitable causes. Bill Musser, Senior Vice President of Communications at Boeing said the Air Manufacturer is launching $300 million in initiatives in response to the tax bill.
Our first and most important top-line message from the company is to say thank you to President Trump, Speaker Ryan, Leader McConnell, and members of Congress who passed this historic, once in a generation tax reform bill that’s going to allow us to make a lot more investments that will make us more competitive … ~ Bill Musser
Watch the video as yet another major corporation responds to the passage of this tax bill by freeing up money that will go back into the economy.
Boeing is contributing $100 million to charitable causes like help for veterans, $100 million directly to employees, and another $100 million to enhancing infrastructure.
Musser explains why the reduction of the tax rate for corporations may be the single biggest thing to come out of the tax bill. He said that 90 percent of Boeing’s 140,000 workers are in the United States meaning that the vast majority of savings will be channeled directly back into the American economy.
