Conservative political commentator and comedian Steven Crowder recently took a run at the seemingly friendly Alexa and discovered that not only is the popular bot always listening, but it has some far-left leanings as well.
In a light-hearted but telling YouTube video, Crowder unseats the belief that Alexa only answers question about what it knows. The American-Canadian host of “Louder with Crowder” asked the popular device a series of questions ranging from Islam to Communism to gender that demonstrates Liberals somewhere must be slipping Alexa a cheat sheet.
When asked about Mohammed, Alexa was quick to cite him as a wise prophet who established Islam. When asked about Jesus Christ, the bot called the Christian Lord and Savior a “fictional character.” In another perplexing series of answers, Alexa praised Communism, Socialism, Marxism and left out statistics about Joseph Stalin killing more than 40 million people. But, it gets better.
Apparently, Alexa believes that the NAZIs were a far-right group, despite the fact that the party was formed as a German Socialist workers party. In a litany of pointed questions, Crowder highlights widespread bias programmed into Alexa. An informed Conservative would quickly recognize that the “fact-filled,” music-playing gizmo has emerged as yet another so-called “social justice” warrior.
Yes, the anti-Conservative Amazon chief, Jeff Bezos, has apparently slipped the ideologies of leftist radicals such as Antifa into millions of homes across America. Parents might be wise to check out Crowder’s YouTube video before allowing their children to be influenced.
