Canadian Officials Met with Trump World Behind Their Prime Minister’s Back to Ask About Statehood

Canada’s liberal elite just had a full-blown meltdown—and it’s all because some folks in Alberta dared to dream of independence and had the nerve to talk to President Trump’s people about it.

That’s right. A separatist group from Alberta, Canada’s oil-rich powerhouse, reportedly met with Trump officials not once, not twice, but three times over the last year. Their goal? To explore what it might look like if Alberta took its oil, its jobs, and its future and cut loose from the crumbling socialist mess that is Canada.

Cue Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, the globalist banker-turned-politician, clutching his pearls and demanding that the U.S. “respect Canadian sovereignty.” He says he’s been “clear with President Trump” about that. Sure, Mark. We bet Trump took that real seriously.

Even Alberta’s own premier, Danielle Smith, had to play the diplomat, reminding folks that the province’s future should be decided by Albertans—not Washington. But here’s the kicker: the separatist group didn’t go begging for cash. According to their co-founder Jeffrey Rath, the meetings were simply “a feasibility study” on how Alberta could survive economically if it left Canada. He called it a “fact-finding” mission. Translation? They’re doing their homework in case they have to walk.

Now the left-wing media and Trudeau leftovers are calling it “treason.” British Columbia Premier David Eby threw a tantrum, saying, “To go to a foreign country and to ask for assistance in breaking up Canada, there’s an old-fashioned word for that, and that word is treason.” Sounds like someone’s afraid they might be next.

Here’s the truth: Alberta is tired of being shackled by woke energy policies and wealth redistribution schemes. They want freedom, prosperity, and leadership that doesn’t apologize for success.
