Parents, it’s time to wake up. That “cute” AI teddy bear your kid is talking to? It might be spying on them—and teaching them about sexually explicit tropes like kinks. Yes, we’re serious.
This isn’t some sci-fi horror movie. It’s the reality of mass-produced AI toys flooding into America straight from—you guessed it—China.
Here’s the cold, creepy truth: over 70 percent of toys sold in the U.S. are made in China, and more than 1,500 Chinese companies are now cranking out AI-powered toys. These aren’t just dolls that sing or robots that light up. These toys are designed to talk, listen, and—worst of all—record your child.
According to a bombshell report out of MIT, these AI toys are collecting voice data from kids as young as three. They’re recording conversations, storing them, and potentially sending that data back to the Chinese government. One toy even used facial recognition to greet children by name.
It gets worse. A snuggly AI teddy bear called “Kumma” was found giving kids step-by-step instructions about where to find knives, pills, and sexual fetishes. Yes, a toy meant for young children was chatting about bondage, roleplay, and “impact play.” This is the level of insanity we’re dealing with.
Thankfully, this particular bear is getting yanked off the shelves, but that’s just one out of thousands. These toys are still being sold across the country, and most parents have no clue what’s really inside that talking robot or stuffed unicorn.
David Evan Harris, a public scholar at UC Berkeley, called giving these toys to kids “extraordinarily irresponsible.” He’s right. This is tech gone wild, and our kids are the guinea pigs.
AI is not only costing Gen Z jobs right now, it’s also teaching our children dangerous and sexually explicit information. AI is not the innocent technology some would have us believe. IN fact, watch this video fo the 10 most disturbing things AI “beings” have said to people.
