Abolish the TSA—20 Years of Harassment, Theft and Incompetence

Twenty years ago, then President George W. Bush started the TSA to deal with the “reality of terror in the skies.” Two decades later, people wonder why it’s still going.

It has 54,000 employees and an $8 billion annual budget to make flights more difficult, time costly and to harass Americans trying to travel by air.

The video also notes the TSA routinely fails at its chief mission, keeping deadly weapons off of flights. The host notes, “TSA agents constantly miss weapons, drugs and other illicit items when government agents try to smuggle them in as part of testing.”

A 2017 Heritage Foundation study found TSA agents failed nearly 80 percent of the time to detect weapons, drugs and explosives.

The TSA is ineffective, a waste of money, and Americans and our government know it. But it’s not just about removing belts and shoes and running items through a scanner, but TSA agents have often been found stealing from passengers or groping them for no necessary reason.

The facts are abundant and compelling. Get the full run down and see if you agree that the TSA needs to fly way and disappear in the latest video from The Hill.

  1. Absolutely abolish. I can think of at least a dozen others that need to go while your at it. who was it said “there is nothing so permanent as a temporary government program”

  2. Abolish it? NO.
Turn it over to the National Air Transport Association or the National Air Carrier Association, or both, to manage in their own way. US railroads have their own police forces who do what TSA does, but on the rails and associated facilities. And they’ve been doing it for well over a century. Have the airlines do the same.
It’s in the vested interest of the airlines to keep their flights safe. Make them do it.
Turn the TSA over to them.

  3. If it IS BROKE, let’s FIX it (ABOLISH IT?!?) . . . Let’s find something that DOES work! One Enlightened Patriot.

  4. We need to abolish BIG GOVERNMENT. Period. It isn’t even protecting us from invaders. It is making the lives of the average American WORSE, not better. And, we are paying through the nose for their so-called “protection.” We are fools. We can do BAD without government intervention.

  5. The TSA is another Government boondoggle just like anything the government touches, it is a complete cluster Fuc* from inception, to having to abolish it. If it’s not a disaster then it’s plagued with corruption, criminality & incompetence all at the hands of the Brandon admin. Look no further than the gestapo, riddled with corruption, criminal misconduct and shear incompetence without accountability. The scumbags are worse than the cartel.
America is being destroyed by the communist POS’s from within.
