When Donald Trump won the presidential election, he was polling at under 45 percent. If we can learn anything from history, it’s that liberally biased polls will underrate Mr. Trump’s true approval rating by at least five points. When you keep that context in mind, you realize that he has done reasonably well, in terms of approval, for a modern president.
Going into his re-election campaign, Barack Obama was polling well under 50 percent. The incumbent advantage was still enough to pull him through that election with relative ease.
He continued to poll poorly until everyone got used to the idea of him leaving soon. Call it graduation goggles, but as soon as we were no longer faced with continuing under the leadership of one of the worst presidents in history, Obama’s ratings went up a bit.
President Trump has been another story. His ratings have bounced between 40 and 45 percent for most of the last three years. If you adjust for liberal bias, he’s been anywhere from Obama level to a 50-percent rating. The latest set of polls have been drifting pretty quickly.
The poll in this video was conducted by The Hill. This isn’t a Fox News segment. The Hill is openly biased to the left. Despite that, they show that President Trump is doing quite well, even after being impeached. Keep that in mind when you watch. If you add our minimum five points to account for bias, this poll is quite exciting for the Commander in Chief.
