One America News’ Liz Wheeler recently interviewed John P.A. Ioannidis, Professor of Disease Prevention Health Research and Policy at the Stanford School of Medicine to learn he had some surprising results related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ioannidis said, “The true death rate could be less than that of the seasonal flu. If so, draconian countermeasures are being decided amidst an evidence fiasco of utterly unreliable data about how many people are infected.”
The MIT Technology Review reports that a team at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York City has developed a test that will offer an accurate picture of how widespread and deadly the Coronavirus really is in America.
Currently, the US and other countries are using a diagnostic test, called PCR, which uses a throat or nasal swab to look directly for the genetic material of the COVID-19 virus.
The new test answers a question PCR can’t – “Has a person’s body ever seen the germ at all, even months ago?”
Virologist Florian Krammer of the Icahn team said. “the new test could help locate survivors, who could then donate their antibody-rich blood to people in ICUs to help boost their immunity.”
While the mainstream media blasts the country with frightening statistics and Washington shuts down the economy, it might be wise to see what this new test reveals.
