A constant refrain by Democrats intent on removing President Trump from office is “no one is above the law.” In particular, they continue to press the narrative that Trump and Russia are working together to subvert our election process.
Now the New York Times has dropped the “bombshell” that Russian military hackers have been “boring into” Burisma, the Ukraine gas company Hunter earned millions from and is at the center of the impeachment of President Trump.
According to the Times the hacking attempts against Burisma, where Hunter Biden served on its board, began this past November “as talk of the Bidens, Ukraine and impeachment was dominating the news in the United States.”
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was quick to jump on the news saying, “It certainly looks like they are at it again with an eye towards helping this president.”
Adam Rawnsley of Daily Beast, in his article titled Did Russia Really Hack Burisma? Experts Aren’t Convinced—Yet says it’s way too early to make any determination.
Robert M. Lee, the president of Dragos Inc and a former National Security Agency analyst, told The Daily Beast, “If I was back at the NSA this would qualify for low confidence at best.”
In other words, this bombshell is a dud. Just like the House articles of impeachment.
