“Israel has hypnotized the world.” This is one of Ilhan Omar’s most recent anti-Semitic statements. To someone who doesn’t know anything else about her, this might not seem to be an overwhelmingly discriminatory remark. It plays on anti-Semitic tropes, but it could conceivably be a misunderstanding. It’s when you place her comments in the context of her public history that the anti-Semitism becomes undeniable.
This is a woman who regularly associates with some of the most infamous anti-Semites in our country. She isn’t just guilty by association. She went on an anti-Semitic talk show that spends most of its runtime condemning the Jewish people. For the entirety of her segment, she agreed with egregiously hateful statements. But, she gets a pass from the left because she nodded along instead of saying it all with her own voice.
The list goes on. Even if you just string her own anti-Semitic statements together, you build a case that shows she doesn’t speak in ignorance. She knows exactly what she’s saying because she actively hates Israel and Jewish people. She also openly supports BDS—which is a thinly veiled threat of the desire to annihilate Israel.
Still, you shouldn’t take a stranger’s word for it. You should hear it from Omar herself, and that’s why you need to watch this video. It’s absolute proof of her views, and it’s something you should know about her.
