Exclusive First Look at Trump’s Border Wall Prototypes

Finally!

It looks like President Trump’s wall on the southern border with Mexico may actually happen. Or at least, that’s the impression given by this clip, which features several unique prototypes for the wall that are being constructed and tested in the South Bay area of San Diego, California. Each of these prototypes is competing against the others, and their different design features will likely keep illegal immigrants, drugs and smugglers out of our country.

As ABC’s Sacramento, California affiliate shows, the different prototypes are made out of extremely tough materials that will pose far greater challenges for would-be border-crossers than those of their weak predecessors, which currently stand only in some places and which have exasperated border patrol agents, such as Officer Eduardo Olmos, who’s interviewed about their ineffectiveness here.

Of course, even when one of these prototypes does finally get chosen over the rest, the wall itself still needs to be funded by Congress. But the fact that these wall sections are being constructed at all should give hope to conservatives who’ve been eagerly awaiting President Trump to fulfill his campaign promises regarding immigration reform and border security.

Watch, as ABC-10’s news crew has more of the details.
