Did you know that COVID-19 vaccine makers Moderna and Pfizer are working together on a new vaccine?
Dr. Amesh Adalja discusses Pfizer and Moderna’s plans to release more vaccines aimed at specific COVID variants in a special report.
After the Omicron variant led to resurgence in COVID cases, researchers realized that the current vaccines were not highly effective against it, with many vaccinated people testing positive, even after obtaining a booster shot.
The answer? Vaccine makers are developing an updated version of the vaccine that is supposed to be more effective against the fast spreading variant, hoping to lower case numbers in the next year.
But there are a few issues with the new development. First, isn’t there some concern about Big Pharma companies working together? Shouldn’t someone be regulating this?
Second, case numbers have already largely dropped. There is currently no widespread demand for another vaccine.
Third, what about the next variant or variants? Sure, the new version may stop Omicron, but it may not be helpful against whatever future versions exist.
Whatever the case, let’s hope the new version doesn’t become forced on Americans like so many have already faced. Check out the full report now for more on this new development.
The fact that these two are still in business disgusts me. I hope they both take all their gene therapy and get everything everyone else has gotten from these shots. May Karma come back and get them.
